Approximately 1000 families visit here each year to see puppies. We listen to their comments, and try to concentrate on breeding the pets that people seem to like the best after having owned it for a long time, and to educate buyers regarding those breeds with issues to improve the chances that they'll like it better later. Although there are many cute puppies pictured throughout this website, I only raise limited amounts of some of the breeds with issues and choose to concentrate on the pets that everyone seems to love the best over time.
Why am I telling you all this stuff? Because it's really important to me that you like your pet later! It becomes a real inconvenience to me if someone calls me one year later and asks me to help find a home for the pet that bites, was impossible to house train, or just wasn't healthy or affordable to own because of maintenance issues.
75% of the visitors to this site go directly to this page to see what's available now. This tells me that most have decided what they're "looking for" before they even get on this web site. Almost all of those who are looking for something are looking for that because they like the way it looks and they are in love with a picture of something or with someone's pet before they even talk to me. Unfortunately, many of the "cutest" pure bred pets that have been the most popular in past years are the ones that generate the most complaints later, AND folks are still calling and expecting the modern girlie pet they buy today to be as healthy and intelligent as the one they bought 20 years ago, before so much damaging linebreeding had been done in their breed of choice just to make them look pretty. These are some of the reasons why so many people choose less intelligent pets that are almost impossible to house train, or pets that aren't healthy with short life span and huge vet/maintenance bills. If you want to be smarter than those people who want to just come and look, and then have your decision to buy a pet be only about the way it looks, you should visit, listen to, and study the materials on the other pages of this web site. Those are the pages that will improve the chances that you enjoy owning the dog next year that you thought was cute today.
These pets are subject to a professional care standard. Most of these pets are sold at a price that is approximately equal to what the veterinary care should cost if someone gave you the pup for free and you had to pay for the veterinary care. Up to 50% of U.S. puppy buyers spend more at the vet next week than they paid for their puppy after buying pets that did not receive veterinary care the way that we do it. It amazes me that so many people lack the intelligence to realize that almost none of the puppies for sale to public have had $300.00 worth of veterinary care already done before they go home, yet they would compare our pets to those that have had less. Most will spend more later after buying the cheapest, cutest, or pet located at the shortest driving distance.
As far as I know, a care standard that includes strict quarantine, fecal analysis, and treatment for indicated issues at the point of sale is offered by no other area competitor. Many shoppers lack the intelligence to make prior care standard more important than a childish emotional response to the way a puppy looks. They only ask how cute, how much, do you have teacups, and where are you located at? A smarter shopper asks about quarantine, fecal analysis, was Neopar vaccine given...beginning at 5 weeks of age, (vaccines given now are often not a substitute for what should have already been done) and can this dog jump from my sofa without killing himself? Is it big enough to not be handicapped and require constant assistance even when I don't want to hold it or get tired of carrying /holding it because its helpless, tiny, and handicapped...and be healthy and not have liver/kidney failure and die by 5 years of age? If you want to understand these comments you should read and listen to the other materials on this website that deal with ownership education. It is unfortunate that all shoppers are not intelligent shoppers. This is why half the puppy buyers in the U.S. spend more at the vet next week than they paid for their puppy, and also why up to 30% of pups sold in past years went home and died, some after $1500.00 or more in vet bills!
If someone offers to sell you a pup for less, you can be sure that the care standard is not equal to ours! Our prices include-
-pup kept in strict quarantine prior to the sale! (I recently had a family visit that had spent $10,000.00 buying rabies shots for his entire family after having accepted a free puppy, too young to have had its rabies vaccine already given, from someone's back yard. They were unaware that a raccoon had recently slobbered through the fence)
-a wellness exam, including fecal analysis, minutes prior to the sale, making tomorrow's vet visit an optional warranty right. Even if someone sells you a cheaper pet with a written warranty, it will likely cost just as much as these even if it's perfectly healthy, because YOU must pay to get it checked.
-a fresh vaccine if one is due
-a vaccination regimen that includes Neopar, the vaccine that seems to have done a much superior job of preventing parvo virus this year. I suspect that few puppies in our area are given this because it's avilable through special order only and costs much more. Up to 30% of puppies sold in the U. S. die from parvo virus each year in spite of hundreds spent trying to save them, YET MANY PUPPY BUYERS LACK THE INTELLIGENCE TO MAKE VACCINE SCHEDULE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THEIR OWN CHILISH EMOTIONAL RESPONSE, driving distance, or purchase price!
-treatment prior to the sale for any issue indicated in the exam
-ponazaril to prevent the protozoans coccidia and giardia lamblia that cause loose stool and hinder house training
-flagyl suspension if needed to prevent diarrhea from cryptosporidium
-preventative panacur dewormer
-preventative treatment for scabies mites (transmissable to humans) and demodectic mange (can cause expensive ongoing skin problems at the vet)
For those of you who have read my material, I apologize for repeating parts of this in the video showroom. My stat counter shows that 30% of the visitors to this site are only on it long enough to see the prices. These folks are in serious need of education.
If you've been convinced by those who want you to donate money to them that all breeders are a puppy mill, you should read the material in "Our Facility".
WE HAVE THE FOLLOWING BREEDS AVAILABLE NOW:I suggest clicking on the screen symbol at the bottom of the view screen for each video to view in full screen mode. Some work place internet connections have restrictions which may block you from viewing videos. Videos may not play on dialup connections.
Prices reflect current availability at these prices. This site is under construction. We do have more puppies that are not yet on video. More videos soon. Looking at the puppies on video makes them all look much larger than they actually are. If you have questions about this, please call. Please use video numbers posted beside each video when calling with questions for reference purposes.
Older puppies when available are a great valuebecause they don't need so many vet visits later for puppy shot boosters AND they are old enough to withstand the stress of adapting to a new environment, play with children, or play with another older pet with almost no risk of a stress-related shutdown due to failure to eat properly. 1 out of every 3 puppies go to a new home in the United States every year and die, after being diagnosed by veterinary doctors as having parvo virus. This happens at least in part because so many people choose to take home a pup that is too young, because they think the tiniest one is the cutest and that their young child wants the smallest one. It is sad that most of those children would like the dog better over time if it were not too small to play with or be handicapped by its size, also requiring assistance at their inconvenience! The fact that most of the puppies that get sick begin to show symptoms the third or fourth day after going home proves that the stress of travel, being handled too much, etc., is at least in part the cause, since viruses occur at an interval related to a viral exposure and not an interval that is related to a change of environment. An 8 week pup needs to be vaccinated again at 10, 13, 16, and 20 weeks. Buy a 20 week puppy and you can skip 4 vet visits! (After 20 weeks of age, most vets recommend booster vaccines only once per year). They are also a better investment because their immune response is more mature, and you can tell more about their adult size and appearance, since small breeds can grow up to 80% of their adult frame size by only 5 months old.
Buy a pup in the 4-6 month age range and will have had most or in some cases all puppy shots already done, so you save hundreds in vet bills! This way you go home with a pet that can play outside immediately, be strong enough that your kids won't kill it, play with your other older pet from day 1, and you can tell more about how big it's going to get! Some of the older pets are rescues which need new homes because their past owners lost jobs and had to relocate to other areas and live in apartments that don't allow pets.
(List last updated 9-4-10)If a video is posted below, at least one or more of the pets in that video were still available at the time of this update. If video ID is missing, this means all pets in that group have been sold OR that the pets in that group are not yet old enough to video and tell what they're going to look like.
Breed names highlighted in REDin the price list below indicates that we do have one or more of these for sale, but they are not yet old enough to go home. Pets highlighted in red can be reserved by deposit and layed away until they are at least 8 weeks old and strong enough to withstand the stress of going home with you! Yes, I know many people sell puppies at 6 weeks old. This results in up to a 30% mortality in puppies.
Breeds highlighted in BLACK in the price list below indicates that we do have one or more of these for sale, and that they are at, near, or beyond 8 weeks of age, which is an acceptable age to go home now.
Breeds highlighted in GREENin the price list below indicates that we do have a puppy ON SALE from $50.00 up to 50% off regular price at this time, a few of which are old enough for rabies vaccine, and can play outside immediately. Save hundreds in puppy shots by choosing an older puppy!

Toy and Miniature Rat Terriers (Fiests) My personal favorite! (We also do hybrid crosses using Rat Terriers with Yorkie, Dachshund, Shih-Tzu, Boston, Beagle, Chihuahua, and Poodle! These mixes are also a really great dog!)
1.
$250.00 First female shown in video only, all others are sold.
Rat Terriers are born in black/white, tri-color, black/tan, red/white, blue, blue/white, tri-blue, fawn, fawn/white, lemon/white, chocolate, chocolate/white, red/rust. (Call to ask which colors are currently available)
Rat Terriers have not been ruined by 50 years of breeding their cousins together just to make them look pretty for the dog show like most other purebreds. Having sold about 8000 of these over the past 30 years, I can confidently say that these are the best loved pet we sell! A Rat Terrier pure bred or mix is likely to be the smartest, healthiest, easiest to house train, CHEAPEST TO OWN, and easiest to maintain pets you can buy! It is common for these puppies to act as if they don't like you initially, because more than almost any other breed, they are intelligent and perceptive enough to realize they've never met you before. I have sold a Rat Terrier to a deaf couple who claim to have taught their dog more than 20 hand signs! While modern line bred girlie pets generate endless house training complaints, Rats and mixes are normally very easy to house train, and you can reduce shedding by up to 90% by using the furminator comb. Brushing to reduce shedding requires less effort than brushing to prevent matts and tangles in the long coats that don't shed! You won't need hair cuts, meds for skin problems, or frequent bathing to eliminate excess body odor like with the long coated girlie pets or broken coated mixes. For the allergy patient bothered by smells, this may be a better pet than a smelly long or broken-coated dog that doesn't shed. Choosing to manage the shedding of a short-haired dog by brushing with the furminator comb instead of choosing a no-shed long coat breed can save thousands in expenses related to haircuts and skin problems over the life of your pet.Young Rat Terriers are a bit hyper, but they soon begin to settle down. They are lots of fun, great with children, and are likely to be a very polite pet that's not likely to land on your head when you're not looking like Boston Terriers often do. If you really don't want to spend lots of money on a pet, it would be in your best interests to begin your search by thinking a Rat Terrier is cute! A 20 year lifespan is common!

Stories were in the local news of two N.C. public animal shelters completely closed down in August, 2010, and ALL the animals housed in these put to sleep because of untreatable communicable diseases. It amazes me that people can hear these stories in the news, and still lack the intelligene to buy puppies that were not vaccinated in the way that we do it here! Shouldn't YOUR puppy be given Neopar, beginning at 5 weeks of age? Neopar costs $30.00/bottle and must be special ordered. Can you guess how many puppies raised and sold by our competotors have had it given to them?
BichoPoo (50% Bichon X 50% Poodle)

$500.00 No shedding! Likely much healthier than tiny "teacup" breeds, since they're small enough, but not too tiny! Females only.
Did you know? Add to food supplements are now available that prevent ugly tear stains in white non-shedding long haired dogs! If you think white is beautiful, but would never buy white because of stains, it is easy to prevent staining now!
Yes, most people will buy the cheapest puppy they can find, without learning about the details of care standard prior to the sale by the breeder! They somehow get the dumb idea that they can get the cheapest or free pup and take it to get vaccinated, not knowing that vaccines given at present are not always an effective substitute for what the pet should have already been given, beginning at 5 weeks of age. Many also compare vaccines, not knowing that some are much more effective. This is why half the puppy buyers in America spend more at the vet next week than they paid for their pet! It is also why up to 30% of puppies sold in past years went home with new families and died. If you want to learn about the importance of a better care standard, you should read and study the other material on this web site; not just watch movies and compare prices. Going home with a cheaper puppy with a cheaper care standard is like comparing an older and worn out car to a new one at the same price:)

male $450.00 female $500.00
These are a great choice for someone who wants a Yorkie type pet that is healthier and smart enough to house train! Everyone seems to love these, while half of U.S. pet owners who buy pure bred Yorkies complain that they could never house train it, and that they always urinate in the floor! Most of these look very much like Yorkies. These have short hair in the beginning, but the hair of most will grow to be longer later.
Allergies? You should read the material in our allergies link! You will be amazed to learn that allergies and all terminal diseases are caused mostly by improper diet, and you can make dietary changes that can cause your body to heal itself, even from cancer! Read endless testimonies of those who have recovered from almost every disease even AFTER being sent home to die by doctors!

$150.00-200.00
It seems that every little girl thinks she wants a female chihuahua. I would recommend a male chihuahua puppy for female owners, because female chihuahuas often like men better. I have had many complaints from women over the years that their female chihuahua prefers a male family member, and doesn't like them! A male puppy neutered at the correct time is no more likely to raise his leg than the female is to be nervous and tinkle. You can easy save $100.00 by choosing a male also, since we sell most males $50.00 cheaper (because most of our puppies are born males). It is also much cheaper to get males neutered than to spay females.

Did you know? Thousands of people take painful rabies shots(rabies is 100% fatal in humans who develop symptoms) at $2000.00-$4000.00 per person each year in the U.S.A. due to secondary exposures between humans and pets that have been in contact with wildlife before the pet was given rabies vaccine at 4 months of age! (It is perfectly safe for pets to be outside after rabies shot is given at 4 months of age.) Are ours the only area pets to be kept in quarantine prior to the sale without pups or mom going outside while nursing?...or be housed indoors where wildlife had no opportunity to climb on the cage and slobber through the fence or wire last night while no one was watching?

These prices are for those who will visit, pay cash, and take the puppy home with them. Prices are for an 8 week or older pup with 5 or more vaccines already given and include fecal analysis and $100.00 of miscellaneous preventative veterinary care, much of which you will not receive from any competitor, just minutes prior to the sale. The vaccines and other veterinary care our pups receive through the first 8 weeks might cost you up to $350.00 at most N.C. vets and much more in some states. If someone offers to sell you a pet for much less than the veterinary care should have cost them, you should wonder if they could afford to do the veterinary care and provide a bio-safe place to nurture it and still afford to sell the pet this cheap. Because one problem at the vet next week can cost much more than buying a puppy, a pet with a lesser care standard prior to the sale is often not the cheapest.

Operating expenses for the kennel were more than $60,000.00 last year. This budget did not include money for my time and labor. This is why some of the pets must be more expensive than others. Even the more expensive puppies are a good value because of vaccines and care done prior to purchase and decreased risk of expensive vet bills later. Older puppies, larger puppies, males, darker colors, etc, are toward the cheaper side of the price range. The smallest and cutest ones that everyone wants the most must be the most expensive of our pets. We lose money on some of the cheaper pets we sell. Therefore, our pricing scale must penalize our buyers for their own childishness by asking the most money for the cutest puppies. Those who think I can sell the smallest and cutest puppy for the least price and spend $60,000.00 per year in caring for the animals will go home without a pet. Those who choose pets with a lesser care standard are much more likely to spend hundreds in vet bills later. The choice is yours. Even if someone offers you a cheap puppy with a warranty it may not be cheaper, because you must pay to get it vet checked. We work hard to provide experienced care standard here, including fecal analysis, minutes prior to the sale, and have pets that hopefully don't need to be checked at point of sale unless this is something that you wish to do. We do offer you the written legal right to additional veterinary exams in written warranty. Although competitors advertise "vet checked" puppies, this is much less reliable than checkup just before you take him home. Pets can develop issues between the time of veterinary examination and the time it actually goes home with you. The buyer must pay to get the puppy checked. Most buyers also pay the bill to try and make the pet healthy after the family has fallen in love with it. The fact that the puppy was checked by a vet at a specific time does not mean the puppy is healthy and free of parasites at present. Our goal is to provide a pet that doesn't need to go until the next vaccine is due unless the buyer chooses to take it for a second opinion, since we do offer all buyers this right in written warranty.
All these are offered for personal pets only! We ask all buyers to get them spayed or neutered. This increases the chances that your pet will not develop bad behaviors that are a side-effect of the sexual ritual later in life which result in being kicked out of your home and abandoned at the animal shelter. These policies are to protect your relationship with your pet! The true value of a pet lies in the happiness that he brings to us. We should never leave our personal pets sexually functional and risk losing them to bad behaviors! Get them spayed or neutered BEFORE the bad behaviors are learned! Legislations have been enacted already in some states and are being considered in many others that will make it mandatory to spay/neuter your house pet. Legislators are aware that the breeding of house pets increases indoor urination and bad behaviors that contribute to more pets sent to the shelters later. This is why so many states are requiring breeding dogs be kept in appropriate kennel facilities, and not in your home.
Prices vary with the age and color of the puppies. We sometimes have select older pets available. If you are looking for a cheap pet, you should also consider ownership costs. Hairless pets are the cheapest because they are healthy, no maintenance or clean-up, and are more likely to not create family health issues. Beagles, Rat Terriers, Fiests, Jack Russells, are an affordable pet because they are pretty consistently healthy and don't need haircuts, while Chihuahuas are not consistently healthy because many are just too small when they grow up. Any dog that is likely to be too small as an adult is much more likely to get diabetes or to have allergies or other expensive problems later in life which can easily cost you an extra $5000.00 for veterinary care over the life expectancy of your pet. Some of our long coated dogs need haircuts and therefore cost much more to own. Boston Terriers are the least healthy of the pets that we sell and are never recommended to any person who wants a cheap pet. The cheapest pet is one with healthy genetics in most cases.
