If you're looking for cheaper puppy, then look at the available now puppies and skip the emotional response to the tiniest one. See the weights of the parents and realize that most of the tiniest puppies will grow to be the same size as the older SALE pup in a few weeks. Also, sale puppies have had more veterinary care already done that you won't need to pay for. The cheapest puppy is the one that didn't play with a raccoon last night, wasn't exposed to a virus before you take it home, and has 3+ vaccines, wellness exams, wormings, anti-protozoal meds, & microchip already done so you don't have extreme vet bills soon. Our continued quarantine facility & care standard is a labor of love in response to shared experiences from callers. Many puppy buyers continue to land at the emergency vet for the $7000.00 virus they never thought would happen. Puppies should be quarantined until puppy plus rabies shots are done through 16 wks. The pup can then interact w/ unclean people, dirty homes, other dogs, and play outdoors safely.
CHOOSING A PUPPY. Most people see a 15-25 lb Beagle in the yard and think this is a small dog. HOWEVER, when we put a 2 lb puppy in a video and zoom in it can look like a dinosaur.Most of the larger puppies on this website are much smaller than a Beagle, yet many people want to buy the tiniest puppy because of confused perspective. Read the weights of the pups and remember the size of a Beagle in comparison.Puppies in our videos are MUCH smaller than they appear. ALSO, please see the puppies beside the cola bottle in our videos for healthy perspective. Yes, you can have an emotional response to the tiniest puppy, which should grow to the young adult size of the parents in just a few short weeks. Large breed pups can handle adaptive stress sooner, but the idea that a toy size puppy is old enough to go home as soon as it's weaned from it's mother is a mistake. Most unexpected puppy deaths & health issues requiring expensive vet visits occur when too tiny/too small/too young pups go home, & because too many people think they want dogs that aren't big enough to be healthy as adults.We recommend that you choose a 9 wks+ pup that weighs 3 lbs+ with 3 vaccines already done if possible. This puppy can survive your children/other pets without vet bills caused by handling/transport stress, climb stairs/jump off the sofa with less risk of injury, not get hospitalized for parvovirus or vaccine reactions like younger/tiniest puppies often do, & has likely had $1200.00+ in vet visits, microchips, & puppy shots already done before you take it home. 16 wks+ pups left over from summer vacation will still bond, train easily, & can get their rabies shot & play outside from day one w/ no worries of rabid wildlife or parvo exposures. We recommend MALE puppies for female owners, and FEMALE puppies for male owners. Males love women better, while females often prefer men. Marking males neutered promptly are no greater in numbers than less confident females that tinkle. We often get feedback from women who are disappointed that their female pup loves men more than them. Quarantine is not necessary for a 16 wk puppy w/ shots already done, and these are a good choice for pet owners who don't want to buy health insurance for their puppy.Teacup listings on this site mean parents are 10 lbs or less.Available now (9+ wks w/ 3+ shots) pups can be taken home now (Santa can bring toys), or pups of any age can be reserved until Christmas.

Also called Chrysanthemum Dog or Lhasa Lion, the Shih Tzu is always snuggly, perky, and eager to be your new best friend. The name Shih Tzu means “little lion” and is a very old breed with Chinese roots. The Shih Tzu has been a part of Chinese culture since the Tang dynasty when they were bred to be companion dogs. They are friendly and vivacious and can easily exercise themselves even in small spaces. Because of their double coat of long, flowing hair, this breed does require more grooming care than many other breeds. Shih Tzus are great company for people and other animals. They have large eyes and can look like a teddy bear. This small breed is very affectionate, cheerful, and loyal. Their calmness and gentleness make them great with children, and they get along well with other pets. They will love your family and even understand your body language. Their sweet faces have a tender look. Shih Tzus are one of the very best house pets. Easy to train and fun to live with! Most weigh from 7 to 12 lbs and can live 15 years or more if cared for wisely. You can hire a flight nanny and meet them at the gate of your local international airport. You can also fly in to Charlotte Douglas International Airport and meet a courier at the gate to get your puppy, or rent a car if you want to visit us in person.
